Sunflower Fields in Knoxville

“Are you going to take any photos in the sunflower fields this year,” my husband asked. “Whaaaaaat sunflower fields?!?” I responded. I had no clue what sunflower fields in Knoxville my husband was talking about. Little did I know that the Forks of the River Wildlife Management had planted sunflowers! He rides his mountain bike out at Mead’s Quarry and came across the sunflowers one evening. If he hadn’t mentioned it, I wonder if I would have missed this opportunity to photograph little Maggie.

Maggie is the daughter of some dear friends of mine, and she is only a month younger than my daughter. I knew she would be perfect to photograph in these fields with her simply southern white dress. Thank you to Maggie, and her momma Anna, for coming out to the Knoxville sunflower fields on a hot summer day with me! Anna, your daughter is precious!
