Destination is the name of the game for many couples who choose to travel to the Foothills of the Smoky Mountains to get married. This couple found their forever wedding home in a barn in Sevierville, Tennessee. The cooler weather for this spring wedding made everyone snuggle up and enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the mountains.
Spring is a particularly gorgeous time of the year when the trees are starting to blossom. This season can be particularly rainy in the mountains. When eloping or getting married in the mountains, always remember to bring an umbrella!
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the most gorgeous natural wonders in the world. Therefore, it’s not a far stretch that the surrounding mountain towns are equally beautiful. Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Townsend, Wears Valley, and Maryville all have gorgeous wedding venues and accommodations.
“ERIN MORRISON IS A GODDESS WITH A CAMERA! My husband and I CANNOT say enough great things about her! Erin was beyond helpful, patient, and understanding...not to mention...absolutely hilarious and fun. Throughout the entire planning process, she was very communicative and open to any and ALL awkwardness I sent her way. My husband and I are not the most photogenic people but Erin made it so comfortable and easy. From the planning, the engagement shoot, and to the wedding, I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. She has given us a gift we get to cherish for the rest of our lives! 100000000/10 recommend her for all of your photography needs!!!!”
Is summer made for lovers? The warm summer evenings in East Tennessee makes me think so! These two are Tennessee natives, and chose an intimate barn wedding for their wedding day. Just a hop-and-a-skip from Knoxville, their wedding day was both local to their family and friends and equally intimate.
Summer has fabulous weather! Many guests are ready to put on a fabulous dress and party out on a patio under a late-setting sunset. Ann and Tony’s guests danced and dined under a large party tent at the edge of a lush vineyard, and ended the night with a sparkler exit with all of their family and friends.
If you have always dreamed of a barn ceremony and reception, The Barn at Chestnut Springs is the perfect choice. It was voted as one of the “Top 24 Best Barn Venues in the United States for Your Wedding” by Green Wedding Shoes, and highlighted by LooksLikeFilm as one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Tennessee.
“I would not change one single thing about the photography of my wedding. Erin and her second shooter were absolutely a breeze to work with and so much fun! She really made the whole experience exciting and calmed my nerves, and the photos are absolutely amazing and lean on the natural light.”
Let’s talk destination! These two decided that a mountain destination wedding was in the cards for them and chose to adventure to East Tennessee. Their destination? The Trillium Venue overlooking The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Fall is the best time for epic colors. Mother nature really puts on a show in October and November in East Tennessee. That is why snagging a wedding during the autumn months is highly sought after.
Fall weddings are BY FAR the most popular in East Tennessee. If you are interested in having a Fall wedding, please consider reaching to Erin Morrison Photography (and your other vendors) well in advance.
The Trillium is located in the heart of the Smoky Mountains and offers some of the best mountain views. This Sevierville wedding venue offers an epic 180-degree view. The drive up to the venue is gorgeous, but the actual location is stunning, perfect for a mountain destination wedding.
“Erin is the BEST! She is so talented and was so easy to work with. As I was planning our wedding, it was really important to me that I find a photographer that would be understanding of our unique situation. Not only were we having a destination wedding and planning it in the midst of Covid. But we were also going with a venue that had not even been built yet. Needless to say, I was that bride that had a lot of questions. Erin was so easygoing about everything and went above and beyond to answer them. Of course on the day of our wedding, the weather wasn't ideal, as it rained most of the day/night. But that didn’t stop Erin from capturing some amazing photos. She also had the best attitude about it and it didn’t even phase her. Erin’s down-to-earth personality really allowed us to enjoy the day and I think that shows within her work. Our photos turned out incredible and she was able to capture some really beautiful moments. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives.”
Snuggle up close! Winter weddings are meant for snuggly photos, holiday-themed wedding decorations, and much more. Being a winter bride or groom is basically the best, and Ruth and Evan showed off with their romantic downtown wedding.
Winter in Tennessee is mild. You can break out the long-sleeved dresses for warmth, but the weather still stays at an acceptable degree. There are also countless large wedding venues in the Knoxville area that can accommodate weddings with large groups ready to mingle into the wee hours of the night.
Knoxville is my home and I love all that it has to offer for wedding couples. Large and intimate wedding venues are plentiful, as well as lots of accommodations for wedding guests. Hotels, bars, and a vivid Knoxville scene is all within walking distance.
“I cannot say enough good things about Erin. She makes you feel comfortable. She makes you feel beautiful. My fiancé (now husband) said “she embraces our weirdness and let me be myself.” Her ability to capture the moment perfectly is everything you can want in a photographer. Her editing is amazing and timeless. Do not skimp on a photography. This is probably the most important part of you special day. And Erin is the best.”
