Kids grow up so fast! That's why it is so important to capture their fleeting youth now before they move on to the next stage of their life. Before you know it, you'll miss tucking your little kiddos in at night and wiping dirt from their chubby cheeks. Luckily, you don't have to miss out on capturing those special moments! What to expect during a family photography session
What should you expect during a photo session with your family? Why lots of laughter of course! I know how hard it can be to act naturally in front of a photographer (unless you have a sweet little goofball in your family that enjoys stealing the spotlight and posing for the camera). That's why I'm confident my calm yet upbeat demeanor will help you unwind and truly enjoy being in the moment.
When you are thinking about where you'd like to have your shoot, try to choose a location that holds fond memories. It is a lot easier to feel relaxed when you are in a familiar location. Still not sure where you would like to take pictures? I would be happy to make some suggestions and offer styling ideas that will suit your family's specific lifestyle and preferences.

I specialize in taking documentary style photographs with natural light. Most of my family sessions showcase my clients in playful and fun situations that share are a brief glimpse into their daily life. Since I know firsthand how important it is to preserve special memories while raising your family here in Knoxville, you can be confident that I will take beautiful photos that you can cherish for years to come. I spend so many days with amazing planners, florists, bartenders, DJs, and more. Knoxville and the Smokies truly has some of the best wedding no professionals around.
But, let’s talk photo and video. Hanging with second photographers and videographers by my side for the entire days is truly a treat. Never underestimate how fun wedding can be when we are all there together to truly give the best experience for our wedding couples.

The first half of 2026 has been such a wonderful adventure. It’s hard to put into words just how different each session and wedding can be. One day I’m spending 10 hours in the mountains photographing a wedding, and the next I’m chasing a toddler around a park just a few minutes from my home.
There’s one thing that has always been true about this job: every session is different. Every wedding is different. Every couple, every family, every story, every edit brings something new.
I’m just incredibly grateful for all the different that fills my world. Thank you for trusting me with your memories, your milestones, and the moments that make each day unlike the one before.
You may notice I’m a little quieter on social media over the next month.
In a digital world, while raising a tween, I’ve realized my face needs to be looking at hers more than it needs to be looking at my screen. My phone is going to spend a lot more time on the charger while I spend more intentional time at the pool, embracing this hot weather and soaking up these different kinds of summer days with my family.
The work will still be here. The emails will still get answered. Weddings and sessions will get booked (I’m still HERE).
But these summers? They don’t last forever.
