Ramble Creek Events in Athens, Tennessee

Ramble Creek Wedding & Events

Ramble Creek Events is a new event venue that offers a unique setting for your special day. Located in Athens, Tennessee, just 60 miles from Knoxville, Ramble Creek sits along a country road in Eastern Tennessee. This venue is one that is close to what you need and away from what you want to escape. Weddings at Ramble Creek are held amongst the natural woods from Tennessee land in a beautiful building called, “The Ramble.” Photographing weddings here is a dream for me because of the country setting, the structure itself, and how these two features combine for a memorable and romantic ceremony.

The Ramble

At the heart of Ramble Creek is The Ramble—a master-planned event venue. Constructed using natural elements and craftsmanship styles of long ago, The Ramble is elegance, simplicity, and, most importantly, functionality, rolled into one venue. The Ramble offers the following in terms of function and comfort for weddings:

  • 8,000 square feet of space of heated and air-conditioned space
  • A large covered deck for an outside gathering, no matter the weather conditions
  • Multiple spaces are available for use, including The Grand Hall, a bridal suite, groom quarters, and a cocktail room
  • A large, commercial kitchen
  • A serving room that opens to The Grand Hall
  • Five restrooms

One of the most attractive features of The Ramble when it comes to weddings is the ability to dim the lights. All of the lights in The Ramble are dimmable, creating ambiance and adding to the romance of your special day.

The Grand Hall

More than a dozen domestic wood varieties encompass The Grand Hall. All of the exposed hardwoods such as the cedar columns, the great fireplace, and the multi-hued floors, were grown and milled on-site. The natural hardwoods from the property are what make this section of The Ramble, grand. The cedar columns are massive, beautiful, and among my favorite features when photographing a wedding in The Grand Hall.

The Cuisine

When it comes to celebrating love with great cuisine, Ramble Creek has you covered. Appetizers, main meals, and even s’mores bars are among the many options. Licensed bartenders are on staff should you choose an alcohol service package.

With a chef who hails from Louisiana, you know you are in good hands with your wedding cuisine. The chef at Ramble Creek uses the freshest ingredients to create attractive presentations and delicious meals. From mouth-watering macaroni-n-cheese to dishes for meat lovers and vegans, the Ramble Creek Catering staff makes sure no one leaves hungry.

Ramble Creek Cakes

Choosing your wedding cake—from the flavor, style, and colors—is a big deal. The owners of Ramble Creek realize this and have responded by having their very own, in-house cake designer. Affectionately called, “Executive Cake Goddess,” by Ramble Creek staff, Eva Gay brings more than 20 years of experience as a leading cake designer in the Eastern Tennessee Region. No matter what kind of cake you crave, chances are Eva Gay can design and bring your vision to life.

Event Management

Planning a wedding while balancing the craziness of everyday life is often overwhelming. There are not one but two event directors on staff to help you navigate the planning process. Whether you need gentle guidance or full-blown hand-holding, the experienced event directors at Ramble Creek will ease your mind by overseeing important details.

Knoxville, Tennessee Area Wedding Venue

For those seeking a unique wedding venue in the area of Knoxville, consider this new option located in nearby Athens. Situated within equal distance of Knoxville and Chattanooga, Athens describes itself as, “The Friendly City.” Founded in 1822, this charming and quaint city sits in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. There are plenty of attractions and places to stay in the surrounding area. Encourage your out-of-town guests to extend their visit beyond your wedding in order to explore Eastern Tennessee.

Capturing Natural Moments

When it comes to wedding photography, it takes a special skill, and experience, to capture truly natural moments. Pre-planned, posed shots are not my style. The real beauty of a wedding is the intimate moments between the special couple, their family, and their friends. These moments happen without the thought of the camera. There are no forced smiles—only natural ones, the kind that light your eyes. My name is Erin Morrison and I specialize in natural light, documentary photography.

Erin Morrison Photography

I am a Knoxville-based wedding photographer, servicing the Great Smoky National Park and beyond. My have-camera-will-travel adventurous soul enjoys the quick journey to nearby Athens and the Ramble Creek Events venue. Eastern Tennessee is not only my home but also my “office”—I’m truly blessed to work in such a beautiful environment.

Photographing weddings at a place like Ramble Creek is exciting because each couple is different. I enjoy getting to know couples early in the planning process. This allows all of us to learn a little bit about each other. I get to observe how you interact and I learn which cues of love to watch for on your special day—an important tool when it comes to capturing your natural moments.

The beauty and strength of the exposed hardwoods at Ramble Creek signify something when it comes to starting your forever together. Perhaps it’s the symbolism of the hardwood itself, that grew from something small into something long-lasting. If you are interested in celebrating your love among the massive cedar posts and other Tennessee hardwoods at Ramble Creek, let’s chat. My familiarity with this new venue is a plus. My love of weddings and Eastern Tennessee is even a bigger plus. I’m honored when couples select me to share this experience and love with them as they plan their plan and celebrate their special day.

An amazing venue, delicious food, and your dream cake are all important—so is celebrating your love with invited friends and family—choosing the right photographer to capture all of this in a natural way is imperative to preserving your wedding day memories.
