Wildflower Wedding with Bespoke Details at Mountain Estate
The romance of nature in summer set the tone for this wildflower wedding of Katie and Quinn. From the setting and minimal but well-chosen decor to the bride and groom’s attire. Not only the wedding party but guests joined in the spirit. Many donned clothing and accessories that blended with the wedding’s wildflower theme.
The couple chose a fitting location. The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek was the perfect venue. The site is often chosen for naturally themed Smoky Mountain destination weddings. But no two weddings are ever alike. The bespoke details, chosen by Katie and Quinn, mirrored the couple’s cheerful, romantic spirit. The love of nature and family is evident in my photos.
Let’s take a peek at some details of this well-planned and beautiful wildflower wedding.
An Eclectic yet Cohesive Wildflower Wedding Theme
This wildflower wedding was a great example of today’s trend toward casual, elegant events with bespoke details. Hyper-personalized affairs and more outdoor weddings are two of 2021’s latest wedding trends. Whether you want a wildflower wedding or a different color theme, you can build upon the inspiration offered by Katie and Quinn.
Choose a style and setting. Add coordinating details of your own choosing. Inspire your guests to take part in the theme. Making your wedding day an inclusive celebration for friends and family results in an event that’s memorable. Not just for you and your partner, but for your wedding party and guests as well.
Collective Color
Cobalt blue and white as a base, built-upon by magenta and deep lavender created a pleasing blend. The color theme evoked a sense of cheerful elegance. The bright zinnias that popped from their clear glass vials on each table were a bit of a departure. Yet they seemed a great fit. They invited guests to relax and celebrate.
Rustic Surroundings
The Dunkard Barn and the wooded surroundings invoked a spirit that seemed a cross between homey and enchanting. There were ample settings for photographs featuring slightly varied themes.
The rustic barn intensified the family gathering feel. The setup for the ceremony included a carpet runner reminiscent of a castle. The forested area into which the couple ventured alone for a stroll and photos, seemed a bit reminiscent of a Shakespearean setting.
Cascading Bouquet
The stunning bouquet complimented the attractively minimalist lines of Katie’s dress. It provided the perfect point of balance for her overall appearance. The spray was comprised of cottage-style pink, magenta, and deep lavender flowers. The blooms were surrounded by a cascading accent of sage green ferns. Perfect for the wildflower theme.
The Attire
Many of the guests appeared dressed to fit the wildflower wedding theme. Ties and dresses bearing flowers were worn by many who arrived for the elegant, whimsical celebration.
Magenta, sleeveless, with a ruffle accenting the V-neck, the bridesmaid’s dresses reflected the magenta component of the bride’s bouquet. Semi-long, hitting at mid-calf, they reflected the simple, elegant theme.
Blue Suits and Flowered Ties
The male members of the wedding party wore cobalt blue suits and classic white shirts. Their ties were identical, with a white and blue flower pattern. Boutonnieres featured enhanced teasel seed heads, colored blue. A shade matching the attire and picking up the deep lavender blue of the bride’s and attendant’s bouquets.
A Flower Bedecked Arbor
The wedding ceremony took place beneath a rustic arbor. The arbor featured a spray of flowers matching those of the wedding party. The lady who performed the ceremony wore a sash embellished with butterflies. Individual flowers were distributed to special family members.
North Carolina Wedding Photographer
North Carolina offers one of the most attractive settings for memorable outdoor weddings. From the intimacy of preparation to the romance of the ceremony. Erin Morrison Photography frequently travels to western North Carolina for weddings and elopements. I would be honored to be a part of your wedding in the mountains of North Carolina.
