The Standard Knoxville
With the new and exciting title of fiancé happily swirling around in your head, you’re likely now in wedding planning mode! One of the most important aspects of planning a wedding is finding the perfect venue that checks off all of your boxes. An absolutely stunning indoor venue option located right in the heart of downtown Knoxville, TN is The Standard Knoxville. You’ll fall in love the minute you walk through the door. If eclectic vibes, exposed brick walls, beautiful skylights, and rustic charm make your heart beat faster, you simply have to consider this venue for your big day!
Since wedding planning can be stressful, I’ve created a helpful guide showcasing all of the amazing features The Standard has to offer. Let’s dive in, shall we?
The location of The Standard couldn’t get any better! It’s right in the heart of downtown Knoxville, surrounded by a variety of delicious restaurants and phenomenal hotels right at your fingertips. Guests from out of town (or in town) can explore the city easily in their downtime or after the reception to keep the party going! The downtown location gives the building even more of an urban feel, making the atmosphere truly one of a kind.
Originally built in 1930, the building was made for manufacturing, and was once the home for the Standard Wilson Glass Company. Hence where their name originated from! In 2011, the building began extensive renovations but kept many of the original features. Some of those original features include the wood staircase, copper storefronts, exposed brick walls, arched doorways, and a lot of the original trim.
With more than 10,000 square feet of space, The Standard can accommodate intimate or large weddings or receptions. The huge skylights provide excellent natural light which in turn produces breathtaking photographs. The industrial lighting at night is unique and really adds a terrific modern touch to the venue space.
Outside there are tons of great photo opportunities right outside the front door. If you’re looking to get married in the winter months, this is good news for you. You can step inside to warm up between photo shoots very easily!
There is also a rooftop patio that makes the perfect backdrop for sunset pictures. You can also choose to have your reception on the patio if you have an intimate guest size of 60 people or less.
Ultimately, the incredible atmosphere creates the perfect place to unleash your personality. Whether you want chocolate fountains, your favorite colors radiating all around, beach-themed, sports-themed, candy-themed, country-themed, elegant touches, pizza party, or even Harry Potter-themed, you can make it happen at The Standard.
Let your artistic side and personalities shine. (Your wedding planner can also help come up with unique ideas!) The opportunities are endless. Whatever your style, your ultimate dream wedding can become a reality here.
Bridal Party Suites
The Standard features two separate bridal party suites completely private and away from each other. The women’s suite is located upstairs and the men have a rad “man cave” downstairs. Rest assured knowing you will have total access to prep or touch up your hair and makeup hours or moments before your wedding or reception.
The 412 Loft is the perfect space for all the gorgeous ladies to get ready. It’s spacious, fully furnished, and comes with changing rooms, restrooms, mirrors, and a make-up area. P.S. For all the guys reading… the “man cave” is also fully furnished!
From the minute you book The Standard Knoxville for your wedding or reception, down to the final moments you and your guests are breaking it down on the dance floor, you can breathe easy knowing the helpful staff is handling your every need. Weddings are stressful, and they completely understand that. Their goal is to help make your special day go off without a hitch. Whether it’s clearing plates quickly or greeting guests with welcoming smiles, they’ll make everyone feel at ease. Friendly, efficient and accommodating service can turn your wedding day into one everyone will remember for years to come.
The Standard Knoxville is happy to make recommendations or you can choose your own catering company to deliver delicious food for your wedding. Whichever catering company you choose, they will have access to a fully equipped catering kitchen upon arrival and throughout the night.
