Downtown Location in the Heart of Knoxville

The location of The Standard couldn’t get any better! It’s right in the heart of downtown Knoxville, surrounded by various delicious restaurants and phenomenal hotels at your fingertips. Guests from out of town (or in town) can explore the city easily during downtime or after the reception to keep the party going! The downtown location gives the building even more of an urban feel, making the atmosphere truly one of a kind.

Eclectic Atmosphere for all Types of Events

Originally built in 1930, the building was designed for manufacturing and was once home to the Standard Wilson Glass Company. Hence where their name originated! In 2011, the building began extensive renovations while retaining many of its original features. Some of those original features include the wood staircase, copper storefronts, exposed brick walls, arched doorways, and a lot of the original trim.

With more than 10,000 square feet of space, The Standard can accommodate both intimate and large weddings and receptions. The huge skylights provide excellent natural light, which in turn produces breathtaking photographs. The industrial lighting at night is unique and really adds a terrific modern touch to the venue space.

Outside, there are tons of great photo opportunities right outside the front door. If you’re looking to get married in the winter months, this is good news for you. You can easily step inside to warm up between photo shoots!

There is also a rooftop patio that makes the perfect backdrop for sunset pictures. You can also choose to have your reception on the patio if your guest count is 60 or fewer.

Bridal Party Suites for Both Men and Women

The Standard features two separate bridal party suites, completely private and away from each other. The women’s suite is located upstairs, and the men have a rad “man cave” downstairs. Rest assured knowing you will have total access to prep or touch up your hair and makeup hours or moments before your wedding or reception.

The 412 Loft is the perfect space for all the gorgeous ladies to get ready. It’s spacious and fully furnished, with changing rooms, restrooms, mirrors, and a makeup area. P.S. For all the guys reading… the “man cave” is fully furnished, too!
