Heartland Meadows
Heartland Meadows is one of the premier rustic wedding venues in the Knoxville area. This breathtaking country meadow offers outdoor and indoor options for your special day. Choose from a variety of outdoor ceremony sites located on 45 acres of property. A rustic barn provides the perfect setting for celebrating after the ceremony. Heartland Meadows is a natural, quiet setting for a beautiful ceremony, a fun reception, and great photography.

The Old Oak Tree
The old oak tree is such a popular spot for outdoor ceremonies, and it’s easy to see why. With its deep roots in Tennessee soil, it’s a beautiful symbol of strength and longevity—perfect for exchanging vows. Plus, the tree theme has so many fun possibilities, like tree-stump aisle decor or tree-inspired invitations.
Heartland Meadows has plenty of outdoor options, but there’s just something about that oak tree that makes it stand out. They even provide 400 padded garden chairs, 18 church pews, and a rustic barn as a backup if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
As a Knoxville wedding photographer, I love capturing couples under this incredible tree. It’s such a stunning backdrop, but the real focus of every photo is always the couple and their love. The images turn out absolutely timeless.

The Rustic Barn
The rustic barn at Heartland Meadows seats 224, although as many as 300 are possible, depending upon the layout. Rustic wooden tables cover the barn floor. Porta Cools and Patio Heaters provide air conditioning or heat for hot Tennessee days and cool Tennessee evenings.
At Heartland Meadows, you are allowed access to the property from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Additional hours are possible—just consult with staff. This large range of time provides an opportunity to decorate and to get ready without feeling rushed. Weddings require a lot of planning and are often stressful events. The open access to the property on the day of your event alleviates pressures associated with time. Gather your friends and family and put them to work. In no time at all, you’ll transform the venue into your own space and still have time to dress for the ceremony.

The Treasure Barn
Speaking of decorating, you’ll want to check out the on-site treasure barn. This unique feature of Heartland Meadows saves you time and money by offering the use of furniture and decorations for your wedding. Here are just a few examples of what’s included in the treasure barn:
- Vintage doors
- Handcrafted signs
- Glassware
- Vintage furniture
The treasure barn even includes centerpiece decorations for the tables. Get creative! There’s a lot you can do with a few simple props. You can even add some decorations of your own. Utilize the extra time allowed at the property by taking advantage of this venue perk! I never tire of seeing what people come up with when decorating a rustic-themed wedding. Sometimes, it’s shabby chic with a bit of Western or simple country in the natural setting. Either way, a rustic-themed wedding makes for great photography.

Additional Features
Heartland Meadows is both rustic and modern. A bridal suite and groom quarters for ceremony preparation are accessible throughout the day. Additional features include:
- A Kawasaki mule to transport guests as needed
- Assistance with wedding coordination
- Alcohol is permitted with a licensed and insured bartender
- In addition to the treasure barn, props and scenes are located throughout the property for photography
- The venue is animal-friendly
- Yard games are available for extra fun after the ceremony
Heartland Meadows is a quiet, country venue for celebrating your special day. The venue offers special rates for first responders, military, fire, and police, however, the rates only apply to the bride, groom, and their parents. If you’re planning a rustic wedding in Eastern Tennessee, contact their staff to learn more about their wedding services. This venue is both away from it all yet close enough to the city for out-of-town guests. Don’t delay in contacting the venue as wedding dates book quickly.

I love rustic and country weddings. There’s something so peaceful about being surrounded by fresh air and open skies, and celebrating in a cozy barn adds that perfect touch to the day.
