The Barn at Chestnut Springs

Getting engaged was likely one of the most exciting days of your life. Now, it is time to start planning an even more exciting day, the day that you marry the love of your life. One of the most important aspects of planning a wedding is deciding where you want it to take place. If you have always dreamed of a barn ceremony and reception, The Barn at Chestnut Springs might be a perfect choice.  It was voted as one of the “Top 24 Best Barn Venues in the United States for Your Wedding” by Green Wedding Shoes. And highlighted by LooksLikeFilm as one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Tennessee. It’s easy to see why this venue gets such accreditation!

A Wedding Near the Great Smoky Mountains

One of the things I love about this venue is its location. The Barn at Chestnut Springs sits just outside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This provides guests with hours of entertainment before or after your wedding. You may even want to spend some time enjoying the park yourself. You can do this either before you get married or during your honeymoon!

Make Your Wedding Your Own

For most couples getting married, customizability is important. At The Barn at Chestnut Springs, you can create your dream wedding. One of your first choices is where you want to get married on the property. The wooded cove on the lawn is a great option if you are getting married when it’s warm outside. If the weather is expected to be a little cooler, or if you simply prefer an indoor ceremony, you can also use the barn itself.

When choosing a venue, couples often want the freedom to use their preferred vendors. The Barn at Chestnut Springs provides a list of recommended local vendors, but you aren’t required to use them. You can choose the vendors and services that are important to you. This could even include a family pastor or someone with a meaningful connection to your family. It’s great for the couple who wants a particular catering service to handle the day’s menu. It’s fun for the couple who want a close friend to act as the DJ for the night.

Even the small details of your wedding can be customized to fit your needs. For example, you can bring in your favorite wine, champagne, or other beverages. Candles can be included as part of the celebration. The venue staff can help you with other wedding-day desires and preferences.  The venue is great for small, intimate parties of only 25 or 30 people. But it can also accommodate up to 120 people.

Wedding Amenities and Venue Inclusions

When you rent this space, you get the venue for 9 hours, with 1 hour reserved for rehearsal and 8 hours for the celebration. All events must end by 11 pm, as the venue closes then. Along with having the venue to yourselves for the duration of your celebration, some of the other things included in your wedding package include:

  • Climate-controlled barn and 13 acres of wooded cove
  • Rental of tables and chairs, including table runners, serving tables, and tables where the guests can sit to eat
  • Two dressing rooms, where the bridal party can get ready and later freshen up
  • Three bathrooms
  • 45 parking spaces for guests and vendors
  • Audiovisual equipment and accommodations, including wireless internet, two flat-screen televisions, and Comcast cable
  • Supplies to help with decorations and lighting, including two medium lanterns, four large lanterns, lights over the back patio, a chalkboard, six shepherd hooks, and 120 mason jars of varying sizes
  • Set-up and takedown of table and chairs as well as trash removal after the ceremony

Rustic Charm and Mountain Scenery

All these accommodations sound great, but a wonderful wedding is about more than what a venue provides. You may also want a space that requires little time or money for decorations. The Barn at Chestnut Springs could be a great choice for your ceremony and reception. You can still add a few personal touches throughout the venue. Personalized signs or floral arrangements can easily make the space your own. However, there is little need for additional decorations.

Partly due to its location, the grounds of The Barn at Chestnut Springs provide a beautiful backdrop for weddings. You may find yourself entranced by the beauty of this venue. With beautiful tree-lined paths, wide-open spaces, and gorgeous mountain views to enjoy during your celebration, you will likely fall in love with the outdoor beauty of this location.

As you make your way inside the barn, the venue’s splendor will follow you inside. The rustic beams and grand chandeliers are so breathtaking that you will surely want to include them in at least a few of your photographs. You may also want to take a few photos outside The Barn, combining the natural beauty of the outdoors with the rustic appeal of the barn itself.
