I fell in love with Brittany and Blake during their Smoky Mountain engagement session. This casual couple was a breeze to work with as we hopped around the Little River for an evening of picture-taking. Chatting with them about their proposal and engagement, I knew this couple would make their wedding day meaningful. And it certainly was! We loved the first look with her dad and the hidden prayer before the ceremony. And, of course, we loved the meaningful feet-washing ceremony at their vineyard wedding. These two honor, respect, and love each other a thousand times over. It was a beautiful day indeed!

Feet-Washing Ceremony

What is a feet-washing ceremony, you ask? The Christian church introduced this ceremony to imitate the love of Jesus, paying homage to wash his disciples’ feet at the Last Supper the night before his Crucifixion. While there are many unique and harmonious activities to perform during your wedding (handfasting, sand pouring, and unity candles), this one always seems very special. Brittany and Blake had the perfect setting at Ramble Creek Vineyard and Events to perform their feet-washing ceremony. It was a magical and intimate moment to witness as these two became husband and wife.
