Brunch Wedding at The Peter Kern Library in Market Square Knoxville

When creating a memorable and unique wedding day, a brunch wedding at The Peter Kern Library for the ceremony and The Oliver Royale for the reception is an exceptional choice. A brunch wedding offers an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for couples celebrating with close friends and family in the early hours of the day.

Morning weddings are becoming increasingly popular, and it’s easy to see why. The fresh start to the day and the elegance of a brunch wedding create a magical experience for everyone involved. With an early wake-up call, the bride and groom can enjoy the beautiful ceremony in the historic and cozy ambiance of The Peter Kern Library, followed by a delightful brunch reception at The Oliver Royale. And this is exactly what Elyse and Aaquil did on their wedding date.

The Peter Kern Library at The Oliver Hotel

The Peter Kern Library is a unique venue. Nestled within The Oliver Hotel, this hidden speakeasy is a cherished local favorite. Its elegant charm and intimate atmosphere create the perfect setting for a brunch wedding. With its rich dark wood and shelves lined with books, this speakeasy exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere where time feels like it stands still. The bar’s charm is further enhanced by its unique cocktails. Each cocktail is named after a literary character, making it a cozy retreat for those seeking timeless elegance.

Intimate Ceremony with Family

Starting with a morning ceremony at The Peter Kern Library sets the tone for a day filled with joy and celebration. The morning ceremony was intimate, with close family and friends gathered to witness the couple exchange vows.

Elyse and Aaquil did not have a wedding party. Each of their parents, siblings, and extended family joined them at the morning ceremony. The intimate setting allowed all the guests to feel extra close to the bride and groom. Further, long-time family friend Judge Lebowitz officiated over the wedding vows.

Planning the Perfect Brunch Wedding Reception

The wedding planning process for a brunch wedding is unique, requiring a different approach than a traditional evening wedding. Working with a skilled wedding planner can help you navigate the details. Planners can help you select the perfect brunch menu to ensure the wedding timeline flows seamlessly.

The Food

After the wedding ceremony, guests moved to The Oliver Royale. This is an excellent space for a brunch reception featuring delightful menu items. The wedding couple chose many brunch menu times. Chicken and waffles, beef sliders, french toast, smoked salmon crepes, pastries, biscuits, and fresh fruit dotted every table! Mojitos, mimosas, and Bloody Marys poured freely from the open bar!

The Cake

Just because it was a brunch wedding doesn’t mean there wasn’t a cake! A gorgeous traditional wedding cake and a fun groom’s cake stole the show at the reception. The wedding cake was beautifully decorated, totally fitting the couple’s style and the relaxed vibe of the day. Guests couldn’t wait to grab a slice after enjoying all the tasty brunch foods.

The Traditions

Elyse and Aaquil kept some classic wedding traditions alive at their brunch reception. They each had sweet dances with their parents, and there were plenty of heartfelt toasts from friends and family to cheer on the newlyweds. The perfect mix of tradition and personal touches made the day even more special.
