Spring Wedding Color Inspiration in an Abandoned Pool
A number of years ago, we were photographing a wedding at Rustic Gate Farm in Friendsville, TN, when we passed by the abandoned pool on the property. I immediately fell in love with all the soft blue colors. I thought, “How cool would it be to do a spring wedding color inspiration in the pool?” Well, all that thought finally came to fruition.
Blue Wedding Color Scheme
I wanted to do this spring wedding inspiration shoot in the abandoned pool. Why? To showcase the fact that there are beautiful things in the least likely of places. Isn’t the blue discoloration in the pool stunning? With the soft blue wedding palette already on the scene, we added touches of other colors to compliment it. Green, gold, cream, and even a few different hues of blues as well. You can see all of these color touches in: the bouquet and floral arrangements from Echelon Florist, the gold trinkets from Vintage Inspiration Rentals, the gold vintage plates and hoops from Unique Settings Rentals, the blue palette in the sweets from Bee’s Knees Bakery, and the escort and place cards from Baltic Studios. Wrapping the entire pool was large fabric drapes, and church pews from Campbell’s Tent and Party Rentals really made it feel like an “event.”
The Beautiful Wedding Couple
Of course, let’s not forget Tyler and Alison, who were our “bride and groom.” Alison adorned a Maggie Sottero dress from White Lace and Promises. She looked simply stunning with makeup provided by Stunning by Rachel and a simple up-do from The Hair Life by Elisha. Tyler looked amazing in his blue suit and tweed vest from Prestige Tuxedo, which was accented with a floral tie from My Tie Shop.
Professional Vendors
This whole adventure could not have happened without the talent of Angie with Absolute Wedding Perfection and my amazing second shooter, Clint James Photography. Lastly, I cannot thank the owners of Rustic Gate Farm in Friendsville, TN, for allowing us to be on their property for the day. They went above and beyond to welcome us on their magnificent property. It was the perfect place for this abandoned pool spring wedding inspiration.
