Moody Smoky Mountain Elopement in Elkmont

Did you know that you can meet the love of your life by playing water volleyball? Yes! It’s true! That is exactly how Autumn + Jordan met over eight years ago. In fact, this couple lives just down the road from the Smoky Mountains in Nashville. How nice is it to have such an amazing intimate elopement location just a few hours away? It was something that they couldn’t pass up.

The best part? Their amazing friend Kelley joined them and provided not only Autumn’s flawless makeup look, but she was also their officiant! Yes! She is ordained in the state of Tennessee. Now that is what I call an all-in-one service. She performed the service on the back patio of Spence Cabin as the Little River flowed behind them. Autumn and Jordan’s voices were almost at a whisper as they read their vows to each other. After popping a bit of champagne, the newly married couple and I ventured to see all that Elkmont has to offer. We stopped at my favorite stone bridge and found an intimate location on the Little River Trail. My favorite location of this intimate Smoky Mountain Elopement is the newly visible chimneys from the old cabins.

Spence Cabin Wedding

Do you love the outdoors? Are you looking for a location that is serene? The sounds of the Little River fill Spence Cabin and it is a perfect location for an intimate wedding or elopement. Located in the Elkmont Historic District, this pink cottage is a unique venue for all sorts of gatherings.

Built in the early 1900s, this vacation home was once part of the Appalachian Club resort community. The community members escaped to the mountains in summer to escape the Tennessee heat. The National Park Service has restored Spence Cabin to its historic appearance and it is now available for day-use rental.
