Popping Champagne at Marblegate Farm

History

According to Marblegate Farm legend, a train derailed over 70 years ago while it was carrying large blocks of marble throughout Eastern Tennessee. As the marble was left where it fell, it became a part of the natural landscape until new owners purchased the area in 1996. These new owners used raw marble to create the stone pillars at Marblegate’s entrance. They allowed the rest to dot the surface by the waterfront. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that boasts a little Tennessee history and a lot of modern charm, Marblegate might just be the perfect choice for you.

Location

Marblegate Farm is located on its own private peninsula in East Tennessee. Yes, you read that right: the estate is located on a lush, green 250-acre farm surrounded on three sides by the gleaming blue water of Fort Loudon Lake. Getting to Marblegate is easy. Simply drive to Friendsville, TN (a 25-minute drive from nearby Knoxville), and enjoy the parking included in your wedding package. Let Marblegate take care of the rest.

The Waterfront

If you’ve ever dreamed about getting married in the midst of some of Tennessee’s most spectacular natural beauty, then the waterfront might just be for you. Say “I do” in front of as many guests as you can invite as you watch the sun gleam off of the private lake, with picturesque trees clustered in the distance. Feeling adventurous? The property has a rowboat that you can use for intimate, just-married photographs. And truly risk-taking couples can have their photographer grab a once-in-a-lifetime photo of their mid-air leap into the water.

What’s more, with the capability to set up tables on the dock itself, you can even enjoy an intimate sunset dinner with your loved ones after you tie the knot. If you’re looking for a way to take advantage of the stunning beauty of Marblegate Farm on your wedding day, the waterfront is the place to start.

The Gardens

If you’d rather start the rest of your life together under a grove of beautiful trees, check out the gardens at Marblegate Farm. There Is a variety of settings for you to use for pictures before or after the ceremony. From willow trees with gently arching branches to majestic, decades-old trees strewn with the fabric of your choice, the gardens are an ideal place to explore and customize. Best of all? They’re even located next to a stable. This makes the gardens the perfect site for a photo op for any horse-loving brides or grooms.
