Cove Lake State Park Engagement Photos

I love these people. Michelle and I have been friends for a number of years. We met when she reached out to me to talk shop! She is a local family, engagement, and wedding photographer, and all-around boss lady. We both believe that cussing is a habit we hate to love, and sassiness should be allowed in every situation. Her man-friend-for-life Matt agrees with all of our craziness — and I love him for that. When Michelle reached out to me for her engagement and wedding photos, I seriously cried a little. It was such a complete honor to be a part of their memories.

Cove Lake State Park

Since Michelle and I have been to nearly every location in the Knoxville area, we decided to try a brand new spot at Cove Lake State Park. Let me tell you, it’s a stunning location. Cove Lake State Park is one of those laid-back Tennessee spots that quietly surprises you. Located just outside Caryville, Tennessee, the park sits in a mountain valley on the edge of the Cumberland Plateau and centers around a peaceful 210-acre lake.

It’s easy to spend an afternoon here walking the flat, scenic trails, watching birds along the shoreline, or enjoying a picnic with mountain views all around. Whether you’re fishing, paddling, camping, or just passing through for a breather, Cove Lake State Park feels calm, approachable, and refreshingly unhurried. Not to mention, there are so many fantastic spots to choose from for any photoshoot!
