Rustic, Rock And Roll Wedding

There aren’t better people in the world than Liz and Cliff. I remember my phone call with Liz as we planned her engagement session, and I immediately fell in love with her. I could hear the northern accent through the phone, and her laid-back attitude. Yeah, their rock and roll wedding was going to be an absolute treat to photograph!

Tennessee Destination Wedding

Liz + Cliff wanted to have a rustic, rock and roll wedding. Liz dreamed of a fall wedding, but since Cliff is a farmer, it was not possible. So, they did the next best thing! They traveled down to Tennessee for a destination wedding. The Barn at Chestnut Springs provided all that they needed. This destination wedding venue had an intimate setting with some “kick-ass scenery!” They absolutely got it at The Barn at Chestnut Springs!

Classic Rock Music

They wanted tons of fun, food, and live music! Liz and Cliff hired a live classic rock band for the occasion. The Dead Ringers, which is a Led Zeppelin cover band, provided the music for their ceremony and cocktail hour. “Going to California” played for the bridal party during the processional. The bride walked out to “Over the Hills and Far Away.” Ogle Entertainment made sure to play everything the guests wanted to hear. They rocked out all night!

Doing It Their Way

When planning the wedding they wanted it to represent them as a couple. Aside from their love of rock and roll, they love sweets! A dessert table with all their favorites awaited guests at the reception. Donuts, mini pies, and popcorn for all. Cliff is also a big fan of honey. Mini jars of wildflower honey with personalized labels and wrapped in lace could be found at the front door. A perfect giveaway treat for all the guests.

Megan Connors Floral Styling

Oh, man! Did you see Liz’s wedding bouquet and the arbor? The flowers were insane! Liz provided the inspiration and colors to Megan Connors, and she did the rest! Her company creates such fresh-from-the-garden arrangements and uses local materials seasonal to Tennessee. Her designs for Liz and Cliff have us still talking about this rock and roll wedding!
