The Relix Variety Theatre offers event space of 5,000 square feet that accommodates up to 300 people in a setting that is both historic and modern. This urban space features:

- Polished concrete floors
- Chandelier and bistro lights
The building’s history as first, CI Vest Dry Goods and later, as White Stores grocery, helps to contribute to its charm. The venue radiates an ambiance among the character features preserved among the earlier construction materials. The light grey walls allow for any color scheme and the polished concrete floors are perfect dancing the night away.
The large, front windows provide natural light, perfect for great photography. When the sun goes down and the Tennessee stars come out, the chandelier and bistro lights illuminate the space in a way that’s almost magical.

The Location

Happy Holler received its name during prohibition. The back alleys of Happy Holler were known as easy places to purchase alcohol and where great revelry took place. The history of Happy Holler makes the Relix Variety Theatre a great place for a 1920’s theme wedding. The Happy Holler district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The district developed, in part, to the expansion of the trolley system built in 1905. Visitors today can still enjoy the trolley system as an effortless way to navigate downtown, using any of the three existing trolley routes. The best part? The Knoxville trolley rides are free!
