I was born and raised in Illinois and moved to the great southern state of Tennessee. I never dreamed that I would be a Knoxville wedding photographer or a Knoxville family photographer, and I am blessed that my art allows me to meet new couples and new families.

So, I know you’re asking how I made my way down to Tennessee. Well, I had to get out of that COLDNESS! No, for reals. Have you ever just wanted to pick up and go somewhere and start over? I was in my first semester of Graduate School in Illinois and I hated it. I felt like everyone had moved on but me, and this Type 3 wasn’t having any of that. I applied to a bunch of Criminology Programs around the country and fell in love with The University of Tennessee (and the people) the minute I stepped onto campus. I came. I saw. I got a job and then my Master's Degree. And then I met a boy.
A pretty cool boy who became my husband. James and I met in the pre-Tinder days at a good ole bar (sorry mom and dad) and fifteen years later we are still together. In fact, we just celebrated our 11 Year Wedding Anniversary! And guess what? We have this super cute little girl together. Her name is Ella and she is officially the love of my life. I can say without a doubt that she makes me a better person.
I hear you thinking in your head, “Well, how did you become a photographer then?” OH! Let me tell you! I fell in love with my wedding photographers! I thought that what they did was pretty darn cool, and I felt like it would be the perfect creative outlet for me. I talked James’ ear off for almost a solid year before he surprised me with my first camera. That moment was the start of this crazy photography adventure.
As of this typing, I have photographed hundreds of weddings from all over the Knoxville area! I am also one of the few photographers permitted to photograph in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Voted one of the Best Knoxville Photographers, I am adaptable, knowledgeable, and flexible in any required shooting condition. That is the difference that experience makes, and that is why you should hire me for your wedding photography.

From misty mornings in Cades Cove to cozy vows at Spence Cabin, celebrations right in the heart of downtown Knoxville and family sessions where the kids just run wild, this area has my whole heart and I know its best spots like the back of my camera.
I’m here for every couple, every family, every story and every kind of love. After more than five hundred weddings and countless family sessions, I can tell you this — moments matter more than poses, connections matter more than perfection and the best photos happen when you can forget about the camera and just be yourselves.
