A little bit more about
I was born and raised in Illinois and moved to the great southern state of Tennessee. I am a walking contradiction; an introverted extrovert, a Type A personality with a creative streak, a yankee who says fixin’, and a lover of comedy who couldn’t tell a punch-line to save her soul. I never dreamed that I would be a Knoxville wedding photographer or a Knoxville family photographer, and I am blessed that my art allows me to meet new couples and new families every day.
I am a storyteller who likes to take modern, simple, and no-frills photos. I enjoy taking photos of couples and families who have a passion for the life that they lead. There are many beautiful photographs in this world, but the photos that we remember, the ones that speak to us, are about real relationships and real emotion. So, hold your wife’s hand, kiss your children on the cheek, and enjoy the moments that you have together. Now THAT is what I want to capture. And THAT is what you will remember about your life.
Your wedding day is a non-repeatable moment in time, and therefore you should choose a photographer for their photographic experience as well as their craft. As an experienced Knoxville Wedding Photographer, I approach each wedding day with technical knowledge, and with the ability to individualize my techniques to your wedding day. This ensures I tell the story that is unique to you. I never work from a “shot list” as I will capture your story in line with my style, and in a way that is reflective of your love story.
I have photographed over 70 weddings from all over the Knoxville area, including The Bleak House, The Emporium, The Standard, Jackson Terminal, Crescent Bend, The Lighthouse, Dara's Garden, Riverview Family Farms, The Southern Depot, Hunter Valley Farm, The Stables at Hunter Valley, The Reserve at Bluebird Hill, Southern Railway, The Barn at Chestnut Springs, Smithview Pavilion, The Ramsey House, Whitestone Inn, and The Millstone. I am also one of the few photographers permitted to photograph in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and therefore I have photographed weddings at Spence Cabin, and elopements and engagement photos inside the park.
Voted one of the Best Knoxville Photographers, I am adaptable, knowledgeable and flexible in any required shooting condition. That is the difference that experience makes, and that is why you should hire me for your wedding photography.
