Abandoned Pool Spring Wedding Inspiration
A number of years ago, we were photographing a wedding at Rustic Gate Farm in Friendsville, TN, when we passed by the abandoned pool on the property. I immediately fell in love with it. I thought to myself, “How cool would it be to do something in there?” Well, all that thought finally came to fruition last month.
The Inspiration and Vendors
I wanted to do this spring wedding inspiration shoot in the abandoned pool. Why? To showcase the fact that there are beautiful things in the least likely of places. Isn’t the blue discoloration in the pool absolutely stunning? With the soft blue palette already on scene, we adding in touches of other colors. Green, gold, cream, and even a few different hues of blues as well. You can see all of these color touches in: the bouquet and floral arrangements from Echelon Florist, the gold trinkets from Vintage Inspiration Rentals, the gold vintage plates and hoops from Unique Settings Rentals, the blue palette in the sweets from Bee’s Knees Bakery, and the escort and place cards from Baltic Studios. Wrapping the entire pool were large fabric drapes and church pews from Campbell’s Tent and Party Rentals.
The Beautiful Couple
Of course, let’s not forget the Tyler and Alison who were our “bride and groom.” Alison adorned a Maggie Sottero dress from White Lace and Promises. She looked simply stunning with makeup provided by Stunning by Rachel and a simple up-do from The Hair Life by Elisha. Tyler looked amazing in his blue suit and tweed vest from Prestige Tuxedo, which was accented with a floral tie from My Tie Shop.
Some of My Favorite Peeps
This whole adventure could not have happened without the talent in from Angie with Absolute Wedding Perfection, and from my amazing second shooter, Clint James Photography. Lastly, I cannot thank the owners of Rustic Gate Farm in Friendsville, TN for allowing us to be on their property for the day. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed on their majestic property. It really was the perfect place for this abandoned pool spring wedding inspiration.
A Little Photo Love
We take great pride in our wedding images, and a lot of work can go into them! We recently found an article from ShootDotEdit that shows just how much work can go into a single image or single gallery. Us photographers have a lot of amazing technology at our disposal to make all of our couples look and feel their best!
