Micro Wedding at RT Lodge

If you’re planning a wedding in 2020, we know you have heard about micro weddings. It’s no secret that COVID-19 changed the wedding industry — some things for the bad, but some things for the good. Many brides and groom are changing their wedding plans and choosing to have a micro wedding. Like an elopement, micro weddings are intimate events. But, they are still traditional weddings with typically less than 30 people.

Rebecca and Brian were a 2020 wedding couple whose original plans changed due to COVID. With their March wedding day scrapped, they redefined their wedding at RT Lodge. What they created was a refined and intimate event for their closest family and friends.

Planning a Micro Wedding

Reconfiguring their wedding budget, they created a peaceful and stress-free experience. Yes, elements were implemented that many people see at a traditional wedding. Rebecca and Brian dressed in separate rooms and experienced a “first look.” We also roamed the woodland property for couples photos and took conventional family portraits. However, their guest list did not exceed fifteen guests.

But, don’t think for a moment that a micro wedding is a downgrade. The change created a beautiful opportunity for the wedding couple to focus on the things that best represent their love. Further, they pampered themselves and their guests! Hand-crafted cocktails and champagne flowed throughout the afternoon before dinner, while toasts from each father occurred during a four-course feast. As I departed, Rebecca and Brian spent their final hours spending quality time with the people who truly mattered most to them.
