LGBT Elopement in Cades Cove
Billy and Jason have been together for two and a half years. They knew from the first few months of their relationship that they were meant for each other. As Billy describes it, their “relationship seems effortless.” Their relationship has even survived Jason working in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The distance truly confirmed the fact that they were with the right people. Billy proposed to Jason in early 2018, and of course, Jason said yes! They were planning a 2019 wedding but then decided that The Great Smoky Mountains were calling. The national park was their first vacation as a couple, and it holds a special place in their hearts. Neither of them “needed” a large wedding, but rather, just a small ceremony with just the two of them. Full of intimacy and love. Therefore, they decided on an elopement in Cades Cove.
Primitive Baptist Church Road
I actually suggested this area for their marriage vows. The Primitive Baptist Church Road leads to the Primitive Baptist Church. I love this spot for a number of reasons. First off, it’s shaded. Second, it’s quiet. And third, because the gravel road just lights up all my couples so darn perfectly. Some of my favorite photos in the Smokies happens on this road. It was the perfect place to get a few photos of Billy and Jason after their wedding vows, and before we continued to trek around the rest of Cades Cove.

We also love Elkmont, and all it’s moody goodness. I am a licensed Smoky Mountain Photographer, and I would love to be a part of your elopement.
