2019 End of Year Review
I’m not gonna lie, every time I create an End of Year Review, my brain goes bye-bye. It’s hard to pack all of the goodness into one blog post. It’s like trying to pack for the beach, and you have to stuff all of your clothes into a shoebox. It’s impossible.
When I first picked up a camera, I knew that I would invest in myself. But, I really had no idea where it would take me. I mean, my husband and I reminisce on our journey all the time. James loves to say that he started the business when he gifted me with my first camera. And, I guess, he is right about that!
A LOT happened this year. Calculating all the shutter clicks, and you would have thought that our fingers fell off. So, let’s get this party started, shall we? OH! And don’t forget to scroll down. We have featured EVERY SINGLE SESSION from 2019! Cheers!

Ascend Theory
One thing that was definitely noticeable in 2019 was the start of Ascend Theory. I have wanted to create a photography workshop for quite some time now. In fact, I have mentored for years on blogging and SEO. However, it was time to put my money where my mouth was. I am a firm believer that an educated community is a better community. Our first wedding photography workshop is scheduled for January 24, 2020, and I am absolutely pumped to share my knowledge! If you are reading this and want to get in on the action, click here! I would love to hang out with you for a weekend!
Smoky Mountain Photographer
One thing that has not changed from year to year is my Commercial Use Authorization in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It is an honor to be a licensed photographer in this natural wonder. Every year, we have the prime opportunity to take family, engagement, and wedding photos inside its boundaries. These boundaries are full of absolutely stunning scenery, and I look forward to hitting up new trails on its property in 2020.
Erin Morrison Photography
This past year was year SEVEN for Erin Morrison Photography. A lot has changed since I first picked up my camera. And, a lot has changed from the previous year as well. What you may not have noticed is that I cut back on a lot of sessions in 2019. I even closed some popular holiday dates for wedding photography. Why? As they say, “they are only little once.” Yes, I have a little girl who is growing up right in front of my eyes. This year, we started the world of Kindergarten. GASP! As I write this, we are halfway through the school year! My mommy heart is begging to hold on to this fun age just a little longer. I hold on a little longer by taking weekends off from photography. And that includes dates such as Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.
So, here we are. The start of a new year. Erin Morrison Photography continues to grow year after year. How? Why? Because of people like you! Every penny that you spend with me goes to building a professional photography business. You also support my family. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting my small business. #muchlove
