Our vintage, boho, DIY wedding dreams have come true! Brittany and Chris’ celebrated their marriage surrounded by family and friends on their church’s property. And while they said their wedding vow, the prettiest of pretty East Tennessee sunset showered them in warm light. If you’re in the midst of planning and need boho wedding ideas, get your eyes ready for a feast of beauty.
DIY Boho Wedding Decor
“I just incorporated all of my favorite things” said Brittany. Macrame, needlepoint, raw gemstones, candles, desserts, and honeybees adorned every inch of this boho wedding. Her family and friends made her dream come to life.
Boho Wedding Location: Getting married outdoors is always a tricky proposition, but it was definitely something that this wedding couple wanted to do. They also knew that The Field of Dreams would be perfect for their boho wedding ceremony. It was a special place for Brittany because it’s part of her family’s history.
DIY Touches: Brittany has been a bridesmaid over six times! So, you know she had the DIY plan in place for her boho wedding. Gauze napkins and table runners were cut and dyed by hand. The honeybee favors were hand-tied to each guest’s plate. That dessert table? It was made by the groom. That arbor? Built by an uncle. And those cute bridesmaid needlepoint bouquets? Brittany’s sister made all of it. Friends and family set up the ceremony and reception decor and even helped serve food. It takes a village, right?!
Boho Etsy Finds: If you are looking for boho wedding inspiration, then Etsy is your place. Unique, handmade items for any boho bride are just waiting at the lick of a mouse. The bride’s boho dress with sleeves, custom favor stamp, guestbook and vow books, macrame chair backs, invitations, and wooden welcome sign all came for handmade artists.
Repurposed Wedding Decor: Just about every decor item you see at this wedding was bought at a discounted price. The light pink bridesmaid dresses were under $100, as was the men’s’ suits. The rug used for the aisle runner now lays in the newlywed’s home. Those dressers at the ceremony? They found their spots back in their home too.
