Mountain Engagement Photos

Meet Ashley + Christian. These two met over 10 years ago in a class while attending school in Georgia. Although they never got together while in that class, they kept running into each other. A Halloween party eventually brought about the exchange for the digits, and well, I guess the rest is history. I met them through mutual friends and immediately fell in love with their simple charm and casual personalities. A perfect couple to take out for some mountain engagement photos.

Little River

The Little River runs along some of the most spectacular scenery in the southern-eastern part of the United States. It rises inside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park on the north slope of Clingmans Dome, the highest point in Tennessee. As the river continues, it absorbs several smaller streams at an area known as “Three Forks.” The river parallels the well-maintained Little River Trail, which leads into one of my favorite places, Elkmont. We got on Little River just past the ever-popular Townsend Wye swimming hole.

I scouted this particular location along Little River for a while, but the water was always too high. Luckily, all the pieces fell into place on this date for these mountain engagement photos. The water was low and the sun was out. Don’t you just love all that light coming in on them while they are on the rocks? And let’s hand it to this adventurous couple for getting out in the water!
