DIY Wedding at Pleasant Hill Vineyards
I look back at Ann and Tony’s wedding, and I just smile. Weddings at Pleasant Hill Vineyards are always a beautiful affair, but this summer wedding gives me all the warm fuzzy and giddy feels. From Ann and her sister singing worship songs during the ceremony to Ann tearing up during the father-daughter dance this day was filled with so much good stuff! And can we talk about Ann + Tony’s first look? Just minutes before they saw each other it was raining. I mean, a torrential downpour of water from the skies. But the rain magically stopped, and the blue skies came out. Tony’s beaming smile dissipated any nerves Ann may have felt that day, and you could sense that she was ready to spend the day with her husband.
DIY Wedding Favors and Decor
As you peruse your way through the images below, I want you to take a minute and appreciate all the handmade and personal details that this bride and groom incorporated into their day. Personalized cartoon characters of the wedding party for the wedding programs were created on Vistaprint. For the DIY wedding favors, the bride designed three designs to embroider on tea towels. Her sister digitized them, and Tony used an automatic sewing machine to embellish all 250 of them! Wow! They turned out fantastic and were one of the most amazing personal touches of their wedding.
That is not the only DIY touches of this Pleasant Hill Vineyard wedding: personalized escort cards on paint sample swatches, purple doylies hung from the tent ceiling, and a baked homemade cake and cake sign were all DIY. And guess what? The bouquets and boutonnieres were DIY as well! Yes! Ann purchased flowers from Trader Joe’s and Sam’s Club and created all of the flower decorations with her mother. The ribbon purchased from Hobby Lobby capped off the flowers effortlessly. They even used some of the flowers to create DIY wedding centerpieces made from mason jars.
