The Quarry Venue Knoxville
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to view a new Knoxville wedding venue — The Quarry Venue Knoxville. This wedding venue is family owned and located in the heart of West Knoxville. The original quarry was known for it’s pink marble, but now is known as a breathtaking wedding ceremony and wedding reception location.
The venue is equipped with an industrial terrazzo building that has been converted into a an event site, and even comes along with a beautiful covered patio. The terrazzo building in itself is beautiful with it’s vintage walls and natural light (which makes this Knoxville wedding photographer very happy), but what makes The Quarry one of a kind is The Canyon. This phenomenal outdoor space makes the perfect spot for an unforgettable outdoor function. When I entered The Canyon, I was surrounded by 100ft soaring walls which encased a grand walkway leading to a large patio and a charming pond with a waterfall. I think that I gasped a bit as I turned the corner to enter this amazing cathedral. The best thing? At night, uplighting is used to highlight all the perfectly imperfect knotches, cuts, and nooks of the canyon walls.
I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph Denise + Alex in this amazing setting. We first ventured to one of the quarry ledges, which was surrounded by Red Buds blooming, and then moved to The Canyon. A simple ceremony site sat along one of the canyon walls, which is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. We then strolled the pathway, and even ran on the beautiful lawn. It. Was. Perfect.
Thank you to coordinator Lindsey Boling, and designer Morgan Burton for allowing us to photograph at their property. #muchlove
